Wild winds and rainy weather caused disruption to the Jura Whisky Festival, says the Scotsman.com
The paper said in a live webchat: “It’s been a wild and windy day here on the island which has unfortunately had an impact on the second day of the festival.
“Ferries from Islay have been disrupted for most of the afternoon but a band of hardy Jura fans did make their way over on one of the few ferries to make the ten minute crossing.”
Willie Cochrane said: “Yesterday was very successful and today was 50 per cent successful.
“Feel sorry for the people who tried their best to get to the festival.
“There was a howling gail and the ferries have been restricted.”
