The Whiskies of the World Expo and Artisanal Spirits Fest have announced the list of famous brands that will be exhibiting at this year’s event.

The expo, now in its 12th year, aims to gather the world’s “most fascinating distilled spirits”  and promises to provide visitors with an opportunity to sample some terrific whiskies and learn more about their favourite drink.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2011, on The San Francisco Belle, Hornblower Yacht in San Francisco.

Festival organisers have said that visitors will also be treated to seminars from Brand Ambassadors and Master Distillers.

Scotch whisky expert Richard Paterson will give a talk on “Walking through the Regions of Scotland”.

Festival organisers said: “Guests will also enjoy a full buffet dinner, mixology demonstrations, Celtic crafts, whisky pairings with chocolate, jerky, cheese, fish, and chutney, a live Pipe and Drum Concert and more, including some surprises.”

VIP tickets have already sold out but general admission tickets are still available for $110 (more info at whiskiesoftheworld.com).
