Edinburgh’s Whiski Rooms, overlooking the city’s historic Princes Street Gardens, will be hosting an exclusive tasting with Whyte & Mackay whisky maestro, Richard ‘The Nose’ Paterson, in April.
As well as the title of master blender at Whyte & Mackay, Richard also holds the post of master distiller at the Dalmore distillery and he will be taking whisky fans through a selection of malts from there and Isle of Jura.
He will also be discussing his achievement in recreating the Mackinlay’s whisky that was recovered from Ernest Shackleton’s abandoned South Pole expedition.
The event takes place at the Whiski Rooms on The Mound on 19 April at 6.15pm with the tasting starting at 6.30pm sharp.
Tickets are initially open to members of their Whiski VIP club, which you can join via their website. General sales commence this Friday, 2 April, with tickets priced at £20 a head. To book, call 0131 225 1532 or by purchasing in store.
