Wemyss Malts have added four new single cask malt whiskies to their expanding range, with each exemplifying a particular malt whisky style or region.
Like all Wemyss bottlings, they have been given names to reflect their taste and aroma. The four consist of: “Smokehouse”, a 15 year old Caol Ila; “The Malt Barn”, a 14 year old Bunnahabhain; “Rum’n’Raisin”, a 22 year old Tullibardine; and “Winter Spice”, a cask strength 29 year old from.
The casks were all hand selected by Wemyss, with aid and input from renowned whisky writer Charlie Maclean.
Regional Sales Manager, Susan Colville, said in a media release: “I’m looking forward to selling this latest bottling. It’s the first time we’ve bottled casks from Tullibardine and Teaninich distilleries. As with our most recent bottling, this release has the name of the distillery on the front labels, as well as our regular helpful bottling names based on the aromas and tastes found in each whisky.”
Prices vary from £55 to £110 per bottle, available from selected retailers in the UTeaninichK and overseas.
