Small-group tour company Rabbie’s Trail Burners has announced two new tours designed to take in the highlights of some of Scotland’s most famous distilleries.

The firm’s “Whisky Coast Explorer” tour includes visits to acclaimed distilleries in Scotland’s Highland, Islay and Island regions including Kilchoman, Bruichladdich, Bowmore, Ardbeg, Laphroaig and Oban.

Rabbie’s “The Islay, Edinburgh and Speyside” tour starts by taking in the famous Islay distilleries of Bowmore, Kilchoman, Bruichladdich, Ardbeg and Laphroig followed by a trip to Oban, and its distillery.

The trip then continues on to Edinburgh with a visit to The Scotch Malt Whisky Experience, says Jetsettersblog.

Visitors then travel north to Speyside to visit the distilleries at Dalwhinnie, Benromach and Glenlivet as well including a trip to the Speyside Cooperage to see how whisky barrels are made.

A spokesperson for Rabbie’s said: “The team has personally researched and tested every stop on every route to ensure visitors are seeing the very best of what Scotland has to offer.”
