Tomatin has a new distillery manager

Tomatin single malt is taking going on tour in Japan with a branded London-style double-decker bus.

Tomatin’s Japanese distributor, Kokubu & Co, are organising the bus tour as part of events to mark the distillery’s 300th year of operation.

The tour started this week in Tokyo and travels to cities throughout Japan, ending in Sendai on 3 July. At each stop over, the bus will host a bar to allow the public to sample a dram of Tomatin whisky.

Regional Sales Manager, Graham Nicolson, said in a media release: “This is an exciting and innovative campaign and we are thrilled to be associated with Kokubu on this momentous anniversary. Our partnership has gone from strength to strength since 2005 and we look forward to continuing this into the foreseeable future with further brand growth in the Japanese market.”

Since Kokubu took on distribution of the Tomatin brand in 2005, the single malt has become the 6th best-selling in Japan.
