Allison Patel, the New York whisky writer and importer who blogs under the moniker of ‘The Whisky Woman’, has announced the details of her own new whisky bottling.
Unlike some other bloggers, however, Patel has not gone for the obvious and bottled a single malt Scotch and has instead created and brought over a dram from France!
Her Brenne Estate Cask is a French single malt matured in a mix of new French oak and used Cognac casks, which she describes as “smooth and approachable with a hint of fruit”.
Brenne officially launches on Monday 1 October and will be available via selected high-end New York restaurants and bars, as well as boutique whisky shops.
Alternatively, go over to Patel’s blog at thewhiskywoman.wordpress.com/ to find out details of how to pick up a bottle via Caskers.com.
