For the first time, The Scotch Whisky Experience on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile is to be an official venue as part of the world-famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2012.
The Fringe runs from 3 August to 27 August and The Scotch Whisky Experience will be hosting a number of events during the month.
Each Sunday during August the venue, next to Edinburgh Castle, will host their Enthusiasm for Scotch afternoon event (between 14:00 and 17:45).
Tickets cost £50 for a fully immersive whisky experience including a guided tour of The Scotch Whisky Experience and a visit the World’s Largest Collection of Scotch Whisky followed by delicious Scottish Tapas in the award winning Amber Restaurant. Patrons will also put their nose to the test to see if they can pin point the Scotch whisky in their aroma quiz and enjoy a tutored tasting of 4 single malts from across Scotland.
The Scotch Whisky Experience will also be running ten Fringe Whisky Tastings throughout August, with tickets at £15 for each. These will include tastings from John Dewar & Sons, Morrison Bowmore, the Scottish Liqueur Centre, Tomatin Distillery, Whyte & Mackay, Angus Dundee and Inver House Distillers.
Details can be found at the Scotch Whisky Experience website www.scotchwhiskyexperience.co.uk or in the Fringe programme. Tickets can be booked by calling 0131 220 0441 or through the Fringe Box Office.
