The “spiritual home” of The Famous Grouse, Scotland’s best-selling whisky, is celebrating its tenth birthday this year with a decade having passed since The Famous Grouse Experience opened near Perth.
Close to a million visitors have passed through its doors and the visitor attraction at Glenturret, Scotland’s oldest working distilerry, has not only been awarded five-stars by VisitScotland but even collected a BAFTA in 2007.
To mark the anniversary, The Famous Grouse Experience has launched a new Celebration Tour that will run from April through to the end of the year.
The Celebration Tour includes a tour of the facility, learning about the distillation process for Glenturret malt and the blending for The Famous Grouse, and finishes with a tasting of five whiskies: The Famous Grouse Celebration Blend, Highland Park 25 year old, The Famous Grouse Gold Reserve and The Naked Grouse.
The attraction’s General Manager, Tracy McCafferty, said in a press release: “This year marks a great milestone for us and the launch of our fantastic new Celebration Tour is just one of the activities we will be organising to mark our 10th birthday. We have welcomed visitors from all across the world over the past 10 years and hope many old and new visitors will come along to help us celebrate this special year.”
The Celebration Tour costs just £14.95, more details can be found at www.thefamousgrouse.com/experience.
