An amateur photographer from Sussex has won himself a bottle of Old Pulteney Malt Whisky as part of their “Wish You Were Here” photography competition.

Steve Nightingale, of Rustington, entered a picture he took at Sandsend breakwaters which took second place, in Yorkshire, reports the Littlehampton Gazette.

He told the paper:”To come in the top 10 means a lot to me and I’m over the moon to have been placed second. The photo was taken on a beautiful late evening in spring, 2009 in Sandsend, Northrkshire.”

Old Pulteney’s Margaret Mary Clarke added: “Every year more and more photographs at an incredibly high standard are entered. Steve’s photograph, ‘Sandsend’, really impressed the judges and we loved the composition, colours and lighting in it. Congratulations to Steve.”

Steve’s picture, and all the other winners, can be viewed at the whisky’s website at www.oldpulteney.com.
