Special event at Glengoyne

Glengoyne has announced plans to host a special tasting event in partnership with whisky social networking site connosr.

The event will be open to Connosr members and will be held at the Glengoyne Distillery on Friday 1st April 2011.

Those lucky enough to secure a ticket will be treated to a VIP tour of the distillery followed by a tutored tasting (with light bites) of the core Glengoyne range.

A spokesperson for the social networking site hinted that attendees will also get to sample “two special, once-in-a-lifetime, whiskies.”

In addition, there will be a special discount in the Glengoyne shop for the evening.

Glengoyne has been producing whisky since being founded at Dumgoyne, north of Glasgow, since 1833.

The ‘highland line’ distillery is famous for its use of warm air instead of peat smoke to dry their malting barley.
