The Scotch Malt Whisky Society has teamed up with Golf East Lothian to provide a unique dining experience for the golfer searching for the ideal ’19th hole’ near Scotland’s capital.
Golfers can now enjoy themed whisky dinners and tastings at the SMWS Members Rooms in Edinburgh and Leith after playing a round or two at the likes of Archerfield Links, Dunbar, North Berwick, Musselburgh, Gullane or The Open Championship course at Muirfield.
Parties of six or more can enjoy a three-course meal and tasting of the Society’s exclusive whisky bottlings alongside golf-related entertainment such as the “Puttup” indoor putting game or after dinner speakers such as Old Tom Morris or former European Tour Pros such as Andrew Coltart and Gary Nicol.
The SMWS’ Mark van der Vijver said in a press release: “The ‘19th Hole’ at the Society provides enthusiasts the chance to enjoy two of Scotland most famous exports; whisky and golf.
“We have worked closely with leading golf partners to develop an exclusive and entertaining private experience and are confident every detail will enhance the guests’ golf experience in Scotland.”
