Alasdair Day, the creator of the Tweeddale Blend, will be at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society’s London premises at the next month where he will be hosting a masterclass on blending using some of the Society’s own cask bottlings.
This follows his recent article in the SMWS house organ Unfiltered.
According to the SMWS website: “Alasdair Day of Tweeddale Whisky has selected some special Society bottlings to work with in this exclusive blending masterclass. Following in the footsteps of his great grandfather more than 70 years ago, Alasdair uses his expertise to guide you through the process of single cask blending.
“There will also be an opportunity to take home your own creation at the end of the night. A hearty supper is included.”
The masterclass will be at 19 Greville Street on Thursday 27 September from 6.30pm. Tickets are £35 for members and £40 for non-members, bookable from www.smws.co.uk/whisky-tastings/.
