Morrison Bowmore Distillers, the Scotch whisky arm of Japanese drinks company Suntory, are celebrating their success at a number of prestigious industry awards this year.

The Glasgow-based company, which produces Auchentoshan, Bowmore, Glen Garioch and McClelland’s, picked up three titles at the World Whiskies Awards, one Gold and two Double Gold awards at the San Francisco World Spirits competition and three medals, including a Masters title for their new Bowmore Small Batch Reserve, at The Spirits Business Scotch Whisky Masters.

CEO Mike Keiller, said in a media release: “We’re delighted to have received these awards and proud that the fruits of our labour have been internationally recognised. We’re a small company, with a dedicated team who give our all to realise our vision of being the Single Malt specialist.

“As anyone in the industry will understand, Single Malt production requires care and patience, and the investment we’re putting in is reaping its rewards.”

Morrison Bowmore Distillers have concentrated solely on their single malt brands since exiting the blended whisky market in 2006.
