Moray College UHI is to release an online course to give students an understanding of Scotch Whisky, says a report.
The course, which will be launched on Wednesday, has been available over the last ten years on CD, and has been studied by students from 21 countries around the world, says Stv.tv Elgin.
A spokesperson for Moray College UHI told the local news network that the new course is to be launched online to meet the growing demand from students throughout the world, hungry to learn more about whisky production.
Staff from the college and Gordon & McPhail, along with Campbell Evans, who is Director of Government and Consumer Affairs at the Scotch Whisky Association, will link up live online with students who are piloting the course from the United States and South Africa.
The redesigned course content includes a series of samples for “nosing and tasting” and is only available for over 18s.
