Onliune retailer Master of Malt have got together with the man behind World Whisky Day to produce a blended whisky to celebrate it.
Aberdeen student and entrepreneur Blair Bowman has organised this year’s inaugural event, after discovering there was no specific day devoted to Scotland’s national drink. His efforts have gained recognition all over the country – even being praised in the Scottish Parliament – and worldwide, with events confirmed in more than twenty countries already.
The first World Whisky Day takes place on 27 March 2012 and Blair has got together with the boys at Master of Malt to produce a special blend to mark the date.
Blair selected the ingredients for his World Whisky Day blend using Master of Malt’s blending kit, which allows web customers to blend their own whisky, and Master of Malt have bottled it for general sale.
The World Whisky Day blend is available for £39.95 a bottle from www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/.
