As well as gorging on chocolate eggs this weekend, if you’re in the Highlands of Scotland you have the chance to experience some cracking whisky too at the Inverness Whisky Festival.
The festival takes place at Balblair Farm, near Inverness, tomorrow (Saturday 7 April) where you will get the opportunity to taste whiskies from a range of distilleries; take part in Isle of Jura and Benromach masterclasses; eat some gorgeous food; speak to Brooke Magnanti (aka Belle de Jour); drink whisky cocktails; hear live music and generally have a great time.
Confirmed exhibitors for 2012 include: Tomatin, Abhainn Dearg, Glenmorangie, Dalmore, Glenglassaugh, Old Pulteney, Highland Park, Clynelish, Dalmore, Benromach, Laphroaig, Ardmore, Glen Ord, Balblair, Glenrothes, The English Whisky Company, Isle of Jura and Amrut – all the way from India.
Unfortunately, all tickets for tonight’s opening Whisky Tour are sold out. If you’re lucky enough to have a ticket, be at Inverness’ Castle Tavern at 7pm sharp.
Tickets for the Saturday event are £25, and are available on the door from 12 noon.
