Cardiff’s Chapter Arts Centre is to host its first Hopscotch Scottish Ale and Whisky Festival next month.
The festival will take place at the centre on the city’s Market Road between Tuesday 6 and Sunday 11 March.
Primarily aimed at real ale fans, the festival will feature 30 real ales from small, independent Scottish produers including Inveralmond, Fyne Ales, Angus Ales, Stewarts Brewing and William Bros (the producers of Fraoch Heather Ale).
The festival will, however, also include a free whisky tasting on the Friday when Maxiuum’s Russell Jackson will be helping drinkers understand the wonderful world of Scotch. Special, one-night only whisky deals will be on offer at the tasting, which runs from 5pm to 8pm.
The Festival kicks off on Tuesday 6 March with a ceiidh hosted by Uisge ContraBand. More details are available at www.chapter.org/.
