Having been distilling since 2008, Abhainn Dearg on the Isle of Lewis now have something old enough to be sold as whisky.
And they are taking orders now on their website for the single malt which will be distributed in October.
The Abhainn Dearg 3 Year Old Special Edition Single Malt comes in a commemorative box with each bottle individually numbered and signed by distiller Mark Tayburn.
There are only 2011 bottles in total so you are buying into whisky history by purchasing the first ever legal whisky distilled, bottled and produced from Abhainn Dearg Distillery and the Outer Hebridean Archipelago.
