Unfortunately both Robert Ransom’s Five Decades of Glenfarclas and their Family Casks event, where attendees will get the chance to help select the “Family Cask” bottling from the 1997 distillation, have already sold out.
In addition only one or two tickets remain for the Chairman’s Reserve Tasting on Saturday 5 May and the Glenfarclas Dinner at Cragganmill Restaurant, with a four course menu inspired by Glenfarclas’ malts, on Sunday 6 May.
There are, however, plenty of tickets still available for the tour and booksigning on Friday 4 May with Glenfarclas’ George Grant and whisky writer Ian Buxton, the author of ‘Glenfarclas – An Independent Distillery’, which was published by The Angel’s Share in 2011.
Written to commemorate the distillery’s 175th anniversary it is described as “both a biography of the family owned distillery and a record of a remarkable year in the distillery’s long history, preserved for the future”.
Following a tour of the distillery, attendees will enjoy a Glenfarclas tasting, during which Ian will share his experiences of researching the book. Included in the price of the event is a signed copy of Glenfarclas – An Independent Distillery.
Tickets are £50.00 per head and available from www.spiritofspeyside.com/event.
