John Glaser at Compass Box, the specialist whisky blenders, has got together with the Edible Brooklyn and Edible Manhattan websites to launch a festive whisky cocktail competition.

Open to bartenders and mixologists in both New York boroughs, the competition is to produce the best cocktail using Compass box’s Great King Street: Artist’s Blend.

The competition recipes have to include Great King Street and at least one seasonal ingredient and entries should be submitted to events@ediblemanhattan.com.

Chosen semi-finalists will then make their drink for a panel of tasters on January 23rd in Manhattan, with a winner chosen for both Brooklyn and Manhattan who will be featured in full-page ad in their home borough.
