WhiskyBrother.com, the South African whisky blog, is organising a celebration in Johannesburg this Tuesday as part of the global World Whisky Day events.
The blogger describes the planned evening as “an opportunity to meet as like-minded whisky enthusiasts… to share our passion, stories and knowledge with one another”.
The event takes place in a private residence in Lyndhurst, Johannesburg, so the address is only available to those who successfully book, and kicks off at 7pm. Tickets are R50 and each person attending must bring a bottle of whisky, at least half full, with a minimum value of R350.
Those attending will be able to swap drams and stories with fellow afficionados with glasses and light snacks provided.
In addition, there will be a raffle for a bottle of Compass Box Artist’s Blend, as well as a bottle of Three Ships 10yo Single Malt from the organiser’s personal stash for one lucky attendee.
