Bruichladdich have announced that their 2006 distillation of their Islay Barley single malt will be released on 14 July.
All the barley for the malt was grown on the distillery’s home island of Islay at Dunlossit Farm, which is owned by the Schroeder family, shareholders in the distillery.
The chalice barley was harvested in September 2006 and distilled in November of the same year before being aged at Bruichladdich.
Bottled at 50% abv the Islay Barley 2006 will retail for £38.00 per bottle.
