Gordon & MacPhail’s Benromach Distillery has turned its visitor centre into an art gallery to help raise funds for a disability charity.

An exhibition of work by local artist Margaret Barron is on display there until the start of next month, with proceeds going to Leonard Cheshire Disability Scotland, reports the STV website.

The site quotes David Urquhart, Joint Managing Director of Gordon & MacPhail, as saying: “We’re proud to be hosting this wonderful exhibition. Benromach recently ventured into supporting the arts as we feel its creativity and inspiration reflects the innovation and distinctive qualities of our malt whiskies.

“It’s a pleasure to be able to support a local artist who is doing such tremendous work for charity.”

The distillery, the smallest in Speyside, also hosted the National Theatre of Scotland in their visitor centre last month with their play The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart.
