Pernod Ricard-owned Aberlour Distillery is launching its non-chill filtered 12-year-old malt in the American market, reports thespiritsbusiness.com.
The new expression of the Speyside malt has already enjoyed a successful release in France.
They quote Pernod Ricard USA’s Michael McLarenas saying: “Aberlour is a Speyside whisky with a growing word-of-mouth following here in the US. The whisky’s double cask matured style reveals the depth and complexity of the whisky.
“Previous expressions and in particular, A’bunadh have been extremely well-received by whisky aficionados and enthusiasts alike. Aberlour 12 Year Old Non Chill Filtered takes its inspiration from these successes.”
The whisky is bottled at 48% abv following ageing in sherry and bourbon casks.
