Loch Fyne Whiskies

Whisky specialist Loch Fyne Whiskies is celebrating after picking up two Retailer of the Year Awards at the 2013 Icons of Whisky Scotland awards.

The Argyllshire retailer collected the accolades for Single Outlet and Online Outlet at the awards, organised by the prestigious Whisky Magazine, the first time one retailer has picked up both gongs.

Loch Fyne’s small shop in Inveraray’s Main Street was praised by competition judges for a “formula that cannot be beaten – or copied… warm and approachable staff and a great range”, while they simply said of the online offering, “visit the site and see how to do it.”

Established in 1993 Loch Fyne Whiskies carries a comprehensive range of Scotch whisky with highly knowledgeable staff supported by an extensive array of tasting stock. Even their online customers can take advantage of samples through their large selection of ‘FreeWee’ tasters.

Others recognised as Icons in this year’s awards include Morrison Bowmore Distillers, Edinburgh visitor attraction The Scotch Whisky Experience and The Edrington Group, which picked up the title of Brand Innovator of the Year.
