The Isle of Jura, off Scotland’s west coast has run into a slight problem, in that the island no longer has a doctor.

The previous GP left more than a year ago and the island has hda to rely on locum cover supplied by the health board.

So the people of Jura have taken it upon themselves to find a new one, setting up a Facebook campaign in the process to further their aim.

As part of the community, the Isle of Jura has got behind the campaign to replace the island doctor and have offered a “finder’s fee” to whoever supplies the succeessful candidate.
