Loch Fyne Whiskies have got in stock of the 19 year old GlenDronach 1993 vintage.
Bottled from an Oloroso Sherry cask at cask strength (54.2% abv), Loch Fyne describe it as “as rich as rich can be”.
According to their website, it is dark mahongany in colour, with a thick aroma of vanilla, butter, spice and Dundee cake. The addition of water reveals hints of cloves and old paperback books.
The taste “zeros in on the sour and then the bitter and sweet” with flavours of figgy Christmas pud and sauternes.
Exclusive to the UK, there have been only 673 bottles produced, available for £75.00 inc VAT from http://www.lfw.co.uk/acatalog/Glendronach-487.html.
