Glenfiddich, already the most awarded single malt, has picked up a further six gold medals at this year’s International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) in the distillery’s 125th anniversary year.
The Glenfiddich 15 Year Old picked up a ‘gold outstanding’ medal, while the whisky also collected gold for their Glenfiddich Malt Master’s Edition Sherry Cask, Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix and Glenfiddich Age of Discovery Bourbon Cask Reserve 19 Year Old, as well as their 30 and 40 Year Old expressions.
Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich’s Malt Master, said in a press release: “We are thrilled and proud to have been awarded six gold medals by the IWSC.
“The medals recognise the hard work of all the craftspeople and fulfil the vision of our founder, William Grant, who set out to create ‘the best dram in the valley’, 125 years ago.”
Founded in 1969, The International Spirit & Wine Competition is the most respected and influential spirits competitions of its kind.
