Ian Macleod Distillers have unveiled the new design for the core expressions in their Isle of Skye blended whisky range.
The new labelling for their Isle of Skye 8 and 12 year old whiskies features a watercolour of the sun setting over Skye’s along with bottle tops which reflect the island’s Red and Black Hills to “reconnect the brand with its historic home”, according to the distiller’s press release.
Both expressions will feature a prominent new roundel carrying the age of the whisky, in red and cream for the 8 year old, and black and gold for the 12 year old, matching up with the new bottle tops.
The new bottles also carry the signature of the company’s founder, Ian Macleod, on both the label and bottle top.
Based on a family recipe that blends distinctive peaty Island and mellow Speyside Malts, Isle of Skye was created by Macleod himself and is avaialble in a range of sizes from Tesco, Asda and other leading retailers.
