Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay has started off a walk to raise funds for STV’s Appeal 2012 at the Glengoyne Distillery.

The broadcaster, along with rugby legend Scott Hastings and STV presenter John Mackay, plan to walk the West Highland Way to raise funds for the television appeal.

They started their trek at the distillery outside Glasgow, which is close to the southern end of the famous walk.

They each received bottles of Glengoyne 21 Years Old as well as the Glengoyne Auld Enemy Dram to be auctioned to raise funds from sales manager Alan Wardrop, reports Whisky Magazine’s website.

Donations can be made to the appeal via www.justgiving.com/WHWFredmacAulay.
