Beam Inc have moved the distribution of Irish whiskeys from their freshly-acquired Cooley Distillery to Maxiuum, the sales and distribution company they share ownership of with The Edrington Group.

Maxiuum will take over the distribution of brands such as Kilbeggan, Connemara, Tyrconell and Greenore in the UK from Eaux De Vie next week, reports the Drinks Business Review website.

Marketing Manager Stepehen Teeling said: “We look forward to working together to grow the Cooley’s multi award-winning portfolio.”

Teeling paid credit to Eux De Vie for helping build the brands in the past, but described the change as part of a new chapter in Cooley’s history.

Maxiuum already distributes Beam’s Teachers Scotch whisky and Edrington’s Famous Grouse, as well as American whiskies and malts such as The Macallan and Ardmore.
