This Saturday (30 June) sees the 2012 Arran Malt and Music festival taking place on the picturesque Isle of Arran, off Scotland’s Ayrshire coast.
Festival-goers will have the chance to sample a range of whiskies from the Arran Distillery, including this year’s Open Day bottling – as chosen by Euan Mitchell’s masterclass in 2011.
Unfortunately, both Euan’s and James MacTaggart’s masterclasses at this year’s event are both sold out, but tickets can still be had for the Introductory/ Ladies and the Icons of Arran masterclasses.
In addition, there will be music on the main stage throughout the day, arts and crafts stalls, gourmet food, cooper demonstrations and an appearance by Rabbie Burns himself! As well as the official launch of the latest of the Icons of Arran range – The Devil’s Punch Bowl.
Tickets are £5 per head, including tasting glass and one whisky sample token. Contact info@arranwhisky.com or by telephone (01770) 830 264.
