Kilchoman Distillery’s US importer, ImpEx Beverages, Inc. has announced the release of Machir Bay in the US market.

Machir Bay is the first general release from Kilchoman, the newest distillery on the famed whisky isle of Islay.

The whisky is a vatting of 60% 3 year old, 35% 4 year and 5% five year old malts, all matured in bourbon casks and with the 4 year old portion finished in sherry butts for two months.

Kilchoman’s founder and MD, Anthony Wills, said in a press release: “Machir Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches on Islay, is close to the distillery and this single malt will give continuity of supply to our customers around the world. Each year, more mature malts will be added to the vatting”.

Bottled at 46% without chill filtering, Kilchoman Machir Bay has a RRP of $54.99.
