The Glenrothes has increased its availability in the UK by securing a listing in 189 Asda stores for its Glenrothes Special Reserve.

In addition, the brand has gained increased exposure by gaining a listing on the Top Ten Malts list of The Whisky Shop, the country’s largest whisky specialist.

Distributed by Maxiuum, the Glenrothes Special Reserve is already available through Sainsbury’s as well as specialist whisky retailers.

Marketing Director, Peter Sandstrom, said in a media release: “These new opportunities are testament to the success of our award winning single malt whisky. Once a truly hidden gem, The Glenrothes is increasingly being put in the spotlight and increased exposure through these new outlets will aid the brands coverage. We are able to reach more of our established fans and also introduce The Glenrothes to newcomers. This increased presence will help to continue to drive growth going forward.”

The Glenrothes Special Reserve is the non-vintage expression from the distillery, more commonly known for its vintage bottlings. It is carefully chosen to typify the distillery house character of ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla and hints of spice.
