Virginia distiller, Catoctin Creek, has announced the release of a cask proof version of their Roundhouse Rye whiskey.

Having had requests to release an overproof edition, distiller Scott Harris has produced this undiluted rye at 116 proof (58% abv) – one seriously strong dram, as he puts it.

Harris said on their website: “For a while now, we have had numerous requests to release our Roundstone Rye at cask proof and we finally gave in to the pressure. Now, by popular demand, you can pick up your very own bottle at the distillery on July 7th, the one year anniversary of our distillery store.”

The first batch of Roundstone Rye Cask Proof is limited to only 100 bottles and is only available from the distillery store.
