The Malt Barn, the restaurant at Glenfiddich Distillery, is to display works by New York artist Michael Sanzone.
The artist, who works mainly in wood, spent time at the Moray distillery as an artist in residence in 2008 and was commissioned to do the pieces using whisky casks.
Now that they are complete, the pieces are waiting to be shipped back to Dufftown, reports the Press and Journal.
Speaking of his time at Glenfiddich, Sanzone has said it was among “most productive as a working artist.â€
“I’m fascinated by the process and craft of whisky making,” he added. “My work is also about process. I find it important in my new work to collect materials/wood from specific locations, to get to know those locations and the history of the wood that now lies in the finished piece of artwork.â€
