Visitors to Edinburgh Castle this Thursday (14 December) are being invited to sample Scotland’s national drink, while they enjoy one of the country’s top visitor attractions.
Tomatin’s master distiller, Douglas Campbell, will be conducting the tasting from 10.30 till 3.30 in the historic surroundings of the Castle’s Palace Vaults.
As well as being guided through the intricacies of Scotch by Douglas, visitors will also be entertained by one of the Castle’s many costumed characters as they detail the origins of many of today’s Christmas traditions.
The whisky tasting is included as part of the regular admission price to the Castle, and the on site gift shops carry a wide range of whiskies.
Admission to Edinburgh Castle is £14 for adults (free for Historic Scotland members).
